One of the brightest highlights of the “Baltic Beauty 2025” exhibition was the series of stylist and makeup artist competitions traditionally organized by the image school-studio “Unastyle.”
Three international contests — “Creative Makeup,” “Full Fashion Look,” and “Hollywood Look” — brought together both experienced masters and emerging talents from Latvia, the Baltic States, and across Europe.

Participants demonstrated exceptional professionalism, technical mastery, and artistic vision, creating impressive visual looks where hairstyle, makeup, and fashion blended into one cohesive story. The contests showcased the latest seasonal trends as well as bold artistic interpretations that often bordered on performance art.

“Creative Makeup” — Freedom for Artistic Imagination

The international makeup contest “Creative Makeup” gave participants complete freedom to express their creativity. Within 60 minutes, contestants had to design an original and visually striking look that would also be captured in a photograph at their workstation. Artists worked in various techniques, using all kinds of materials and textures, turning makeup into a true visual art form.

“Full Fashion Look” — From Concept to Perfection

In the “Full Fashion Look” contest, stylists created a complete fashion image backstage — hairstyle, makeup, and outfit. On stage, they had five minutes to finalize and present their model. The goal of this contest was to reflect the latest seasonal fashion trends, combining creativity with professional sense of style and aesthetics.

“Hollywood Look” — Inspired by the Stars of Cinema

In the “Hollywood Look” contest, teams of hairdressers and makeup artists — or individual masters handling both hair and makeup — competed to create a look inspired by classic or modern Hollywood aesthetics.
Participants drew inspiration from different cinematic eras, iconic movie stars, red carpet glamour, and fashion shows, presenting stunning transformations before a captivated audience.
